Mr Lim Wey-len is the Executive Vice President at the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB). He oversees EDB’s strategy for the Green Economy including the development of the energy & chemicals, agrifood, renewables and sustainability services sectors. He is also responsible for EDB’s strategy for global multinationals with diversified business interest and the planning of land and energy resources needed for industries to grow in Singapore.
Wey-len has held a variety of roles since he joined EDB in 2003. Prior to this position, he was the Senior Vice President and Head of the Energy & Resources and the Environmental Sustainability divisions. He was previously based in the USA from 2007 to 2011 and 2013 to 2015 where he led the investment promotion efforts of EDB’s San Francisco & Houston centres.
Wey-len is a Glaxo-EDB scholar and graduated from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Economics and a Master of Science in Applied Economics.
He is married with two children.
